From dark & dated to bright and chic, this parade remodel at 1327 Foster Road, Iowa City, underwent a comprehensive transformation to enhance both functionality and aesthetics. The project encompassed a complete overhaul of the main level, finishing of the basement, and strategic alterations to the layout on the second level, optimizing the use of space throughout the home.

One of the standout features of the remodel is the infusion of unique and on-trend colors that breathe new life into the living spaces. The carefully selected color palette contributes to a bright and inviting atmosphere, creating a visually appealing backdrop for the entire residence. Polished nickel fixtures were thoughtfully integrated, adding a touch of sophistication and modernity to the home's overall design. To further elevate the interior, a custom-painted trim was implemented, harmonizing with the cabinets and serving as a bold accent that enhances the overall aesthetic.

A significant focus of the project was the reconfiguration of the kitchen area. The original U-shaped kitchen, tucked away in a dark corner, underwent a complete transformation. The decision was made to relocate the kitchen into the bay window area, allowing for abundant natural light to fill the space. The strategic placement of the range directly in front of a window not only maximizes light but also creates a visually striking focal point in the kitchen. Adjacent to the kitchen, a custom-built dining bench was incorporated, adding versatility to the dining area.
